This reactor is used to synthesize the p-tert-butylbenzaldehyde, an important raw material of the Lily of the valley fragrance.

2000L TBT reactor scheme

Configuration instructions:

1, with double-end mechanical seal material S30408, with explosion-proof motor reducer.

2, with sight glass, explosion-proof PT100, and other orifice flange matching supplies. With gas distributor.

3、Materials: the other materials in contact with the medium in the kettle are stainless steel S304, and the material of the jacket is Q345R.

4、Inner surface polishing Ra<=0.4um.

Universal Application: spices, dyestuffs, pharmaceutical intermediates.

The working volume of this reactor of the reactants is p-tert-butyl toluene (TBT) and oxygen. So the reaction is of gas-liquid diphase. 

The oxygen is pumped into the reaction vessel via a gas inlet pipe to the gas distributor. And upward from the bottom. The stirs shaft has self-priming function, so it could make the 

TBT solution to flip up and down.  Under the stirring by the paddle group, the solution could reactant with oxygen at very high efficiency.  Then p-tert-butylebenzaldhyde is synthesized.

As the reaction is done under atmospheric and 200°C, the corrosion is not strong, so the stainless steel 304 is enough for the reaction. 

After the reaction is finished, the reactor would be cleared and the remains would be discharged from the bottom discharging port. 

The temperature is only 200°C, so the jacket heating with water steam input is sufficient for the reaction. 

The sight glass window is opened on the manway lid, so it is convenient for the operator the check the reaction status.
