Operate strictly by procedure; inspect before startup; never open the cover, touch terminals, or run under pressure. Heat, pressurize, and stir gradually; cool slowly and disconnect power after use. Integrated heating/cooling, fast temperature control, low oil use, sealed circulation, and plate heat exchange. Safety: self-diagnosis, overload/high-pressure/thermal protection; adaptive PID, PT100 correction, eco-friendly refrigerant, PLC programming, touchscreen monitoring.
A reactor is a type of reaction equipment that requires careful operation; otherwise, damage may occur due to various reasons, leading to forced production shutdowns. Among these factors, temperature control is the most critical. Today, technical personnel from Dingfeng Pressure Vessel will explain how to properly control the temperature in reactors.
First, always operate the reactor strictly according to established regulations and procedures. Second, before operation, carefully inspect for any abnormalities. During normal operation, never open the upper cover or touch the terminal connections on the panel to avoid electric shock. Operating under pressure is strictly prohibited. When testing with nitrogen, closely monitor the pressure gauge; once the test pressure is reached, immediately close the nitrogen valve. Heating should not be too rapid, and pressurization must also proceed slowly—especially stirring speed, which should only be increased gradually. Finally, when the reactor body reaches high temperatures, avoid direct contact to prevent burns. After completing experiments, allow the system to cool down gradually. Rapid cooling should be avoided to prevent damage caused by excessive thermal stress. Also, promptly disconnect the power supply.
1. The reactor is equipped with an integrated heating and cooling container featuring a large heat exchange area, enabling fast heating and cooling rates with relatively low thermal oil consumption. Continuous temperature adjustment is possible. The refrigeration heat exchanger uses high-efficiency plate-type heat exchangers, offering high efficiency and compact design. The entire circulation system is sealed, preventing oil mist evaporation at high temperatures, thus avoiding oxidation and darkening of the thermal oil. At low temperatures, it does not absorb moisture from the air, thereby extending the service life of the thermal oil.
2. The system includes multiple safety features such as self-diagnosis, overload protection for the chiller, high-pressure switches, overload relays, and thermal protection devices, ensuring safe operation.
3. The reactor features adaptive temperature control, allowing the control system to continuously adjust PID parameters during processes (such as chemical reactions) to maintain optimal temperature and response time. This is achieved through comprehensive measurement of temperature, temperature changes, and their rates. It includes correction functions for both external and internal circulation temperature probes (PT100).
4. Uses environmentally friendly refrigerants without CFCs or HCFEs.
5. Controls the rate of chemical reactions (optional: integrated unit enables high-temperature condensation and reflux, regulates feeding rate based on temperature control to prevent over-rapid reactions, and controls feed volume).
6. Reactor program function series. Supports non-linear and linear temperature jump functions. Each step of all programs—including external circulation control—is managed by a PLC computer controller.
7. Automatic diagnostic and system monitoring functions. Through a PLC touchscreen controller, the computer monitors and displays detailed system information, including heating rate and other operational data.
8. Reactor touchscreen controller: users can select displayed information. Real-time charts show jacket temperature and internal glass reactor temperature, along with real-time change curves and safety alerts. A color screen provides detailed menus and advanced self-diagnostic capabilities. The device can be controlled via touchscreen hotkeys, encoder, or program number.
