High-pressure reactor cleaning: flush most residue with reaction solvent via the vent valve, add water to half volume, stir for 10 min, then open the lid to clean inner walls. Also clean the lid and sampling valve; slightly pressurize with nitrogen while water is present. For idle reactors, add 70% volume anhydrous ethanol, soak without tightening screws, and use only after thorough cleaning.
1. Charge the high-pressure reactor with reaction solvent through the exhaust valve to remove most of the residue, then add water to half the reactor volume and stir for 10 minutes. Only after this can the reactor lid be opened for cleaning the inner walls.
2. When cleaning the high-pressure reactor, ensure that both the reactor lid and sampling valve are cleaned. While there is water inside the reactor, slightly pressurize it with nitrogen gas.
3. For reactors not in use temporarily, fill them with 70% volume of clean anhydrous ethanol and leave them soaked without tightening the screws. The reactor should only be used again after thorough cleaning.
