I Overview

Turbine agitators (also known as turbine impellers) are one of the more widely used agitators, capable of performing almost all agitation operations efficiently and effectively and handling a wide range of fluids with a wide range of viscosities.

1.2 Turbine paddles can produce a large shear force and make finely dispersed fluid microclusters.
1.3 They are suitable for mixing, liquid-liquid dispersion, and liquid-solid suspension of low-viscosity to medium-viscosity fluids, as well as to promote good heat transfer, mass transfer, and chemical reaction.

II Types of turbine paddles

2.1 Open type    

The open types include straight, inclined, and curved blades. The number of blades is 2 and 4.

2.2 Disk type

The disk type has disk straight blade, inclined blade, curved blade, etc. The number of blades is 6.

III Applications

A turbine stirrer is suitable for emulsion, suspension, and so on.
Turbine agitator has a large shear force, can make the fluid micro-groups dispersed very fine, and is suitable for low to medium viscosity fluid mixing, liquid-liquid dispersion, liquid-solid suspension, as well as to promote good heat transfer, mass transfer, and chemical reaction.
Straight blade - the shear effect is larger, it is the shear type agitator.
Curved blade -  refers to the blade bending toward the flow direction. It can reduce power consumption, it is suitable for containing fragile solid particles of fluid mixing.

IV Parameter

4.1 Diameter: 

The diameter of the turbine agitator is usually 1/3-1/2 of the width of the tank
or
can be adjusted according to specific process conditions.

4.2 Depth: 

The depth of the turbine agitator is usually 1/2-2/3 of the depth of the tank
or
adjusted according to specific process conditions.

4.3 Speed: 

The speed of the turbine agitator should be selected according to the material characteristics, mixing effect, and other factors, generally speaking, the higher the speed, the better the mixing effect, but it will also lead to an increase in energy consumption.
The speed of the turbine agitator is large, 300~600R/M.
