1.1 The completed container shall undergo pressure resistance test and leakage test as specified in the design documents.
1.2 When using pressure gauges to measure test pressure during pressure resistance and leakage tests, two pressure gauges with identical ranges and certified for accuracy must be used. The gauge range should be 1.5 to 3 times the test pressure, preferably twice the test pressure. The accuracy of the pressure gauges shall not be lower than Class 1.6, and the dial diameter shall not be less than 100 mm.
1.3 Before testing, the reinforcement rings at openings on the container shall be inspected for weld quality using compressed air at a pressure of 0.4 MPa to 0.5 MPa.
1.4 Pressure Resistance Test
1.4.1 Pressure resistance tests include hydraulic test, pneumatic test, and combined gas-liquid pressure test, which shall be conducted according to the methods specified in the design documents.
1.4.2 The test pressure and necessary strength verification for pressure resistance tests shall comply with GB 150.1.
1.4.3 Prior to the pressure resistance test, all fasteners at connection points of the container must be fully installed and properly tightened. Temporary pressure-bearing components installed for the test must be secured with appropriate measures to ensure safety.
1.4.4 The pressure gauge used for testing shall be installed at the top of the container's position during testing.
1.4.5 During the pressure holding period of the test, continuous pressurization to maintain constant test pressure is prohibited. No tightening of fasteners or application of external force to pressure-bearing components shall be performed under pressure during the test.
1.4.6 If repairs are required after the pressure resistance test, and if the repair depth exceeds half the wall thickness, the container must undergo another pressure resistance test.
1.5 Hydraulic Test
1.5.1 Water is generally used as the test fluid. After successful testing, water must be drained immediately and the interior blown dry. If complete drainage and drying are not possible, for austenitic stainless steel containers, the chloride ion content in the water must not exceed 25 mg/L.
1.5.2 Pressurization may only begin slowly once the metal temperature of the container wall is close to that of the test liquid. After confirming no leakage at design pressure, continue pressurizing to the specified test pressure and hold for a minimum of 30 minutes. Then reduce the pressure to design pressure and hold for sufficient time for inspection; the pressure must remain constant during inspection.
1.5.3 Acceptance criteria for hydraulic test: During the test, the container must show no leakage, visible deformation, or abnormal noise.
1.5.4 After completion of the hydraulic test, drain all liquid and blow-dry the interior with compressed air.
1.6 Leakage Test
1.6.1 The leakage test may only be conducted after the container has passed the pressure resistance test.
1.6.2 Leakage tests include tightness test, ammonia leak detection, halogen leak detection, and helium leak detection, which shall be carried out according to the methods and requirements specified in the design documents.
